  • Internship - Full Stack Developer

    We are seeking Full Stack Developer Interns who have a passion for quality and enjoy an entrepreneurial environment. Successful candidates will have an interest in creating .NET applications that are powered by a MS SQL database and have strong HTML, Javascript, and CSS skills. They will also be familiar with testing their own and others work to ensure quality. In addition, a successful candidate will be a great listener, a quick learner, be self-motivated, and have strong time management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Interns at Flywheel will be supported and coached by mentors on our staff while being assigned to work on real projects. Interns are regularly considered for full time positions as our business grows.

    Role Details

    Term: Internship (~4 months)

    Location: Flexible. Remote, Hybrid, and In-Person options are available.

    Start Date: Summer 2024

    Salary: $30/hour

    This is a project-based role where developers work with on client projects from a variety of industries and disciplines, each delivering meaningful value to their respective customers, communities, and the world.

    The full stack developer intern works within a highly skilled team of designers, developers, system architects, and content developers each with a specialized area of expertise. Primary responsibility would include the programming of high-quality custom software, customization of world-class technology platforms, and bringing well designed digital experiences to life - including database-driven web-applications, webservices, and custom Sitefinity functionality. In addition, testing and documentation is required.

    Experience & Interests:

    • C# .NET, C# MVC ASP.NET
    • HTML5 / CSS / SASS
    • Javascript / JQuery / AJAX
    • Microsoft SQL Server
    • Unit & Quality Assurance Testing
    • Strong oral and written communication skills

    Additional Experience an asset:

    • Experience with Progress Sitefinity CMS Platform
    • Microsoft Developer Certification
    • Angular-JS
    • Understanding of Salesforce CRM / Marketing Automation
    • Salesforce Apex
    • Native iOS Application development: Objective-C / Swift, XCode
    • Native Android Application development

    This summer, we’re looking for a Marketing Intern to join our team and help execute marketing initiatives, content strategies, and direct outreach efforts—especially as we gear up for a major event in June (in Toronto). If you're eager to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, content creation, event coordination, and outreach, we’d love to hear from you!

    What You'll Do

    Support Digital Marketing & Content Strategy

    • Assist in publishing and curating content across our website, blog, and social channels
    • Organize and contribute to content planning, ensuring alignment with our marketing strategy
    • Support ongoing digital marketing efforts, including SEO research and campaign execution

    Social Media, Outreach & Event Promotion

    • Help manage Flywheel’s LinkedIn presence, including post scheduling and engagement tracking
    • On behalf of Flywheel, personally reach out to prospects and clients (via phone, email, LinkedIn) to invite them to our June event
    • Assist in email marketing, social promotions, and audience engagement strategies
    • Help track and follow up with invitees to maximize event attendance

    Event Coordination & On-Site Support

    • Help coordinate speakers, sponsors, vendors, and attendees leading up to the event
    • Support event logistics and on-site execution, ensuring everything runs smoothly (must be willing to be on-site in Toronto for this)
    • Assist with post-event follow-ups, including recaps and marketing content

    Market Research & Strategy

    • Research industry trends and competitor strategies to refine our positioning
    • Research general digital experience trends and strategies to advance our thought leadership, support our clients, attract new business and enhance our brand position
    • Identify potential partnership and promotional opportunities
    • Analyze marketing performance and provide insights for optimization

    Video & Content Production (Bonus Skill)

    • If you have video skills, help capture event highlights and create engaging recap content
    • Support video editing and production for Flywheel’s digital marketing channels

    Who You Are

    • A student or recent graduate in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field
    • Passionate about digital marketing, content strategy, and audience engagement
    • Comfortable with personal outreach and building relationships with prospects and clients
    • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks
    • A strong writer with a keen eye for content curation and brand voice
    • Experience in event coordination or video production is a strong asset
    • Excited to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-moving digital agency
